Allison, a 6-1 forward from Baylor, was a 2008 Naismith Award candidate and first-team coaches All-Big 12 and All-Defensive selection for the 2007-08 season. She has improved her scoring average each season and features a developing post repertoire. While Allison's offensive game is improving, her future in the WNBA will be on the defensive end. Allison's non-stop motor, exceptional rebounding, high basketball IQ and ability to guard a wide variety of players will take her to the next level. Allison has been a sort of collegiate version of DeLisha Milton-Jones for the Bears: rebounding, defending and scoring consistently enough and from enough different places on the court to be more than a specialist. Can she do that at the next level? Maybe not at the level Milton-Jones has done en route to professional and Olympic glory, but the versatility would seem to make her a good candidate to emerge as a rotation player on a contender or a fourth or fifth starter on a team looking to take the next step.

After averaging just 6.5 points per game as a freshman in 2005-06, Allison has worked hard to expand her offensive repertoire the past three years. Actually, hard-working is the perfect way to describe Allison's game, as she plays with a relentless energy in both practice and games. This go-go-go style occasionally takes its toll on Allison's body, though she has missed only one game of her Baylor career, sitting out a win over Samford earlier this season with a sprained ankle.

Allison boasts a pretty jump shot with 3-point range — As of January 23,she's shooting 34.3 percent from deep this season — but she needs to improve her free throw accuracy (64.3 percent). At 6-1, she projects as a 3 at the next level, and as such has worked on her ballhandling to the point where she is comfortable taking defenders off the dribble.
